Making Travel Arrangements

The ceremony and reception will all take place at one location, Dano's Heuriger on Seneca. Dano's is about 14 miles north of Watkins Glen, 27 miles south of Geneva or 35 miles north of Corning (Jess' hometown).

Flying

• Corning-Elmira Regional Airport: This is a pretty tiny airport with only a few airlines, but it is only a 15 min drive from Corning and 30 min to Watkins Glen. Car rental is available at the airport.
• Rochester Airport: This airport is much larger but further away. It's a 1hr 40 min drive to Watkins Glen or about the same to Corning. Car rental is also available here.
• Syracuse Airport: Probably about the same size as the Rochester airport and about the same distance to Watkins Glen (just a little longer), though it's about a half hour further to Corning.
  

As many of you know, Kate and I are big public transit fans, but unfortunately in this area it's not really an option. But carpooling certainly is! Feel free to use the comments section of this post to ask for or offer rides to and from the airport.

Driving

• From New York City: It's roughly a 4 and a half hour drive.
• From the Canton, OH area: It's around a 5 and a half hour drive, mostly on I-90 and 86.
• From Washington, DC: If you choose to drive, it'll take about 6 hrs.

Where to stay
We'll be contacting some places to find the best options for everyone and most likely it will be in the Watkins Glen area. If you are thinking about staying at least three nights and going in with a group, a cheap and comfortable option to think about is renting a house near Seneca Lake (just keep in mind you'll want something either near the bottom of the west side or on the east side of the lake).
